Candy Packaging Changes that have Made Things Better

Candy packaging is quite important, and it’s definitely something that you should consider. Here are some changes that we’ve noticed, and why they’re being utilized.

First, let’s talk about healthy snacks and little treats. Many times, people are looking to count calories, and they may consider snacking choices. Candies are looking to better their packaging, and one way to kind of sell to customers these days is to show the nutritional information. If you do that, people will pick it up, decide for themselves if they want it, and from there, they’ll be able to decide for themselves, and really have it. This is good if you feel like your brand is missing something.

Next, look at your packaging. Is it retail-ready. Many times, having the candy information and connection that you want will make a difference. But, if you know what you want, people will eyeball it. If the brand owner isn’t sure if their display is going to work, chances are it will fail. But, if you want to increase your sales, you should consider having retail-ready packaging that displays the information packed and ready. You should also make sure that any extra info is as clear and as uncomplicated as can be.

Another trend that’s starting to grow, is recloseable containers. They aren’t new, but they’re gaining traction over the years. A velcro-lock press closure actually does a lot of good for customers, since they can open the pouch by pushing the film apart, and then when done resealing this. If they want a snack, but also don’t want to overeat, this is really the best way to do it.

You can also consider the artistic approach to this. Most people do disregard the candy wrappers into the garbage or recycle bin, but there are some companies that take advantage of the wrapping and add a little bit of artistic flair. Putting pretty designs, or even celebrities onto your packaging is a good way to catch attention, and if you want to be known for something, sometimes that’s ultimately the best thing to do.

Finally, if you’re selling sugar-free candy or those without GMOs in it, use that to your advantage and showcase that. Customers want to know what products don’t’ offer as much as what products do offer. If you want to showcase the information, definitely do so, having that there will make it easier for shoppers to keep track of items. You can talk about whether there is gluten, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, or other such products. There are chocolates that don’t actually have those in there, and if you’re looking to improve your packaging, then you may want to consider this if you’re looking into it.

With all of this, you’ll want to make sure that you do choose the right ideas and concepts for packaging, especially if you’re looking to truly master this. That’s why, if you feel like you need it, add it.
