For some people, candy boxes are a great addition, but it feels like you sometimes need something else to do with them. After all, lots of people get these, and while the gesture is nice, the box may be handmade, and you can either do something with them or just leave it to take up space, the contents of it not being used. Luckily, there are a few things that you can do with old candy boxes, and one of them is to use it for jewelry and to hold it.
The way to do this is pretty simple. You can put it in a drawer, or display this on the table. If you don’t like this, you can always use other items to decorate it. You can begin by taking the box and cleaning out any of the excess contents. Any extra chocolate, candy, or the like should be taken out of the box, and from there, you can then move onto the next step.
Take some a paper or something that you feel fits on the bottom, and decorate the bottom of your box with this. Be sure to cover the entire place with this if you feel like it.
At this point, you’ll then after the top of the box.
Sometimes, I like to keep these undecorated. Why is that? Well, if it already has a nice decoration to it, then why would you ruin the hard work? There is also the fact that, if you’ve already got the nice topping to it, it can be a bit rude to take all of that off in order to put something new on top. With that being said, the best thing to do, if you do decide to decorate it, is to remove some of the paper on top, and then cover it with decoupage or something along those lines. From there, you can add a topping to this, whether it be a nice little ornament or something that signifies whether or not it is used for a certain type of jewelry or not.
From that point, you can take the decoration and then put it where you want to put it. I personally think these look really nice on top of dressers and the like, and they can bring that added touch to your items as well. If you’re looking for something that will really get it looking good, and a good sort of activity for this, you’ll definitely want to consider using one of these.
Don’t let your jewelry boxes look drab and boring. Instead, try to use one of these cool ideas in order to repurpose them, and to make it so that you have a great and beautiful jewelry box that you’ll be able to use in order to make your trinkets shine, and to have a nice spot for your items to sit.
