With fathers day coming up, sometimes you may wonder what you can get for your father. Or maybe, your kids want to give dad something special, but you’re not sure what to give him. Well, why not try a candy tackle box.
This is a candy box idea that’s perfect for the fisherman in your family, and if dad loves to fish, this is perfect. it’s super easy to put together, and kids at almost every age can help to do this.
What you need
• A small clear tackle box with dividers
• Candy such as gummy worms, sharks, and fishy
• Lifesavers and small gumballs, only the red or white ones to make it look like bobbers
• Cardstock, white
• Tape or a glue stick
• Markers
Personally, I love this idea because it’s super cheap, and tackle boxes eliminate the need to make a box, which is great. Plus, you can make a lot of these too, at a fraction of the cost of other candy boxes.
To do this, you do the following:
• First, use dividers to make separate compartments within the tackle box, making them different sizes for the different candy
• Fill each one with different candies so it looks like an actual tackle in the box. Get it, like gummy worms or gummy fish as “bait”?
• Cut the white cardstock, and put it on the inner lid of the tackle box
• Write a cute little message that’s fitting for dad
• You can from there, glue or tape the cardstock to the inside of the candy box
• If you’re feeling really creative, you can even decorate the outside of this as well, especially if you have a little one that is an artist!
This is a super simple project, and it’s very easy to make, and the cool thing about this, is that it will actually look like it took a long time, not just a few mere minutes.
