First and foremost, instead of putting those traditional wedding candies, you can put some different confetti in the candy boxes, with either M&Ms or Reeses in it.  You don’t have to always use that bland candy in your boxes, something a little bit smaller would be great for this, and many people like that. There are some great little candies that you can throw in there.

Tea is another good one to put in there. Yes, you can take some nice, organic tea, or some tea that other people will love, and just throw it in there. It might be weird, but it definitely does the job and then some when looking for a good alternative to candies, and if you have your own homemade tea in tea bags, this is a great one.

Handmade soap, or even just small soap in general, is a great one to include in this. That way, you’re not just giving them candy, you can give them something useful. For those who are doing wedding candy boxes, this is a great decision, and you can even create your own soaps and candies if you’re looking for something fun to do.

You can also use small tealight candles in order to make it really shine.  You can combine this with candies too, and have them surrounding the tealight candle, and that actually adds a nice little touch to it.

If you still want to keep it mostly on the candy sort of side, there are a few options for something sweet in there.  You can literally just cut a brownie, wrap it, and have it nestled in there.  Pretzels, especially little chocolate-covered pretzels do wonders for these too, and you can have those with some peanuts added to it as a great little wedding gift box.

Jelly beans are another great one to have, and if you have special little wedding colors, this is a great one.

Finally, if you are willing to put the work in, get chocolate mold and your favorite chocolate, and melt it into there, in order to create some shapes that go with the theme you’re looking for.  Hershey kisses or Hershey bars are great for this, and you can create these to add a personal touch.  You may also want to consider gummies too, especially if your theme is maybe animals or the beach since they have gummy sea horses, sand dollars, and the like.
